Woodlands Academy Pupils Honoured to Support Community Remembrance Project

Woodlands Academy has been invited by the Town Mayor to create all of the silhouettes that will be displayed across Spilsby town in memory of the 30 soldiers and two sailors from the local area who lost their lives during the First World War.

The project provides a meaningful opportunity for pupils to play an important role in supporting the local community ahead of Remembrance Sunday, while learning about the sacrifices made by those who served.

Pupils working in the school’s workshop will be carefully cutting, preparing and painting the silhouettes, helping to bring the commemorative displays to life. Once completed, the silhouettes will be installed throughout the town as a lasting tribute to the local servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We are proud to be contributing to such a significant community initiative, ensuring the stories and memories of those who gave their lives are remembered for future generations.
