Meet our Senior Leadership Team…

Laura Turner

Executive Headteacher

Laura began her teaching career as a Teacher of PE in Secondary Mainstream education. Gaining a Master’s Degree in Special Educational Needs three years into her career, she began working across alternative provisions.
Laura has held many roles across her career, from teacher through to Deputy Head of School and SENDCo where she was able to achieve her national SEND Co-ordination Award with Northampton University. She has also worked within the SEMH sector as a Deputy Headteacher, Head of School and DSL, driving improvement in behaviour and attitudes, and quality of teaching and learning. During this time Laura secured her National Professional Qualification in Headship.
Laura was part of Woodlands Academy school improvement journey where she led the team as Headteacher to secure ‘Good’ in all areas when Ofsted visited in April 2024. Laura also supports the Trust with delivering the National Professional Qualification in leading Behaviour and Culture as a facilitator and assessor for aspiring leaders across Lincolnshire as well as delivering on the PGCE teacher training course at Bishop Grosseteste University Lincoln.
Laura is currently Executive Headteacher and has overall responsibility for 2 CIT Schools – Woodlands Academy and Chapel St Leonards Primary School.

Matthew Page

Head of School

Matthew has worked as an Assistant Headteacher and Teacher in multiple special schools. He also ran his own sports coaching company and worked in professional football for Lincoln City, Huddersfield Town and Portsmouth as a Statistical Analyst.
At Woodlands Academy, Matthew is responsible for curriculum, assessment, and quality assurance. Matthew is also responsible for the Careers curriculum at Woodlands and holds a Level 5 Careers Leader Qualification.
Matthew holds the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and is currently undertaking his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).

Sherilyn Pruhs-Borrell

Deputy Headteacher – DSL and SENDCo

Sherri has been teaching for over 23 years. She has held various roles over her career including Designated Teacher for Looked After Children (LAC), SEND, Safeguarding, SLT and Deputy Head.
Sherri has achieved the National SENDCo Award and has a Diploma in SEND along with NPQH, NPQSL and NPQBC.
She works closely with children with ASD, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and thoroughly believes that the child should be at the centre of everything we do in school.
