Mrs Alice Eyre
Alice achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 2009, and initially worked in a mainstream Secondary School as a Teacher of English.
Alice has worked at Woodlands Academy (formally Lady Jane Franklin School) since 2013 in the following roles:
– Deputy Headteacher
– Assistant Head
– Director of Learning for Core Faculty
– Teacher of English
Alice is Headteacher and the Designated Teacher for Looked After Children at Woodlands Academy.
Mr Richard Albery
Richard qualified as an English teacher in 2008 and began working in a mainstream school. Soon after he began working in a Pupil Referral Unit, then on to a Secure Unit for several years where Richard had to opportunity to complete a Masters Degree in Social, Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties.
Richard has previously held the roles of:
– Key Stage Four Lead
– SEND Local Offer and Engagement Officer
More recently Richard has worked for NELC SEND team. Richard joined Woodlands Academy in June 2020, to take up the role of Assistant Head, with a range of responsibilities including whole school behaviour, careers and PSHE.
Ms Emma Shepherd
Home School Liaison Officer & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Emma has been working in education since 2001. Since then she has worked in various schools across North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire and the West Midlands holding the following roles;
– Home School Liaison Officer
– Head of Year
– Learning Strategies Assistant Co-ordinator
– Education Welfare Officer
– Attendance Improvement Co-ordinator and EAL Co-ordinator
Emma joined Woodlands Academy in September 2018.
Miss Danielle Small
Whole School Curriculum Leader for Science
Danielle has worked in mainstream Secondary Schools as a Teacher of Science, since achieving Qualified Teacher Status in 2009. Over recent years she has held the following middle leadership roles:
– Head of Key Stage 3 Science
– Deputy Faculty leader of Science
Danielle joined Woodlands Academy, Senior Leadership Team, in June 2020 as Whole School Curriculum Leader for Science.
Miss Stacy Smith
Assessment & Pupil Progress Lead
Stacy achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 2018, and completed her NQT year in a mainstream primary school where she developed a passion for teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Stacy joined Woodlands Academy in 2019 as a KS3 Teacher of English, and now has additional responsibility for whole school assessment & pupil progress.
