PUPILS TO TAKE PART IN SPILSBY LIGHT NIGHT

This coming Saturday night, Spilsby Town will be hosting another ‘Light Night’, and we are thrilled to announce that pupils from Woodlands Academy photography department have been asked to produce a series of light painting images that will be projected onto part of St James Church in Spilsby to show case their amazing creative work!

The event itself will be held at sites across the centre of Spilsby on the evening of Saturday 26th March from 6pm to 9pm and thanks to funding from Arts Council England, together with local support from East Lindsey District Council, Spilsby Town Council, and a large number of local businesses, the event will be completely free!

Free programmes will be available on the night and these will include a trail map showing where all the main lighting installations can be found, but people are encouraged to look out for smaller hidden light moments too!

Over the past few weeks Woodlands Academy Year 10 and 11 pupils have been using the facilities at Spilsby Theatre to capture their thoughts and feelings through the use of light.

This is the second time pupils from Woodlands have contributed to what is an exciting and creative evening of which all the art installations are produced from light.

If you are unable to attend, here is a couple of the shots the pupils have worked on before they are officially released at the ‘Light Night’.
