Pupils Reach New Heights with Climbing Wall Adventure
Woodland Academy pupils and staff scaled new heights on Friday, 17 July, when a mobile climbing wall visited the school as part of the academy’s Outdoor Education Programme.
Organised by Mr Pickering and delivered by Fenland Adventures, a Stamford-based outdoor activity company, the event gave every pupil and member of staff the opportunity to take part in the exciting challenge.
Throughout the day, participants tested their climbing skills, built confidence and encouraged one another as they tackled the impressive climbing wall. The activity proved to be a fantastic addition to the school’s outdoor education offer, promoting teamwork, resilience and personal achievement in a fun and engaging environment.
The day was a tremendous success, with pupils embracing the challenge enthusiastically and demonstrating excellent behaviour from start to finish. The instructors from Fenland Adventures were full of praise for pupils, repeatedly commenting on how lovely, polite and well-mannered they were throughout the event.
The climbing wall experience was enjoyed by all and provided pupils with a memorable opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, develop new skills and celebrate their achievements. The positive feedback from Fenland Adventures was a credit to the entire pupil body, who did the school proud and were excellent ambassadors for Woodlands Academy.
