The Moon Landers vs The Brussel Sprouts…
Tuesday 22nd July saw the first ever Woodlands Academy E-Sports Tournament for the E-Sports BTEC students. It was between the Year 10 group (The Moon Landers) and the Year 11 group (The Brussel Sprouts).
The teams collaborated to organise the event in which 6 members from each team competed, wearing their customised team t-shirts, across 3 events: Street Fighter IV, Crash Team Racing and FIFA 24.
They walked out to their theme music and kicked things off with a battle on Street Fighter. In spite of some solid performances, Moon Landers won both bouts to take the first 2 points.
Not panicking, the Sprouts pulled it back to 2-2 with a dominating performance on Crash Racing, leaving it all down to the final event – FIFA.
It was the Moon Landers who secured the historic win, beating the Sprouts 4-0 for the decisive point.
