Students Explore Lincoln Cathedral for RE Studies
Year 10 and 11 Religious Education students from Woodlands Academy enjoyed an inspiring day at Lincoln Cathedral. The visit offered students a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of Christian heritage, architecture, and the role of faith in shaping history.
During the trip, students had a guided tour and were able to explore the cathedral’s stunning Gothic design and learn about its significance in medieval England.
Teacher Andy Brand, highlighted that experiencing the grandeur of the cathedral first-hand helps bring classroom learning to life, fostering curiosity and critical thinking: “This visit has allowed students to see the connection between faith, art, and culture in a way that textbooks can’t. It’s an invaluable experience that broadens their perspective.”
