School Council Initiative
During our weekly year group assemblies, both teachers and key workers take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate a pupil who has consistently demonstrated our core Woodlands Values:

This recognition is part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a positive school culture grounded in respect, resilience, and responsibility. The selected pupil is awarded a token, which they proudly place into their respective House box as a symbol of their contribution to the school community.

Throughout the academic year, tokens are accumulated by each House, and at the end of the year, the House with the highest number of tokens will be rewarded with an exciting and well-deserved trip. This friendly competition not only motivates pupils to embody our school values but also fosters a strong sense of teamwork and House spirit.
Our School Council has played a key role in supporting this initiative. They have been actively involved in designing and creating the House boxes now proudly displayed in our assembly hall. In addition, they have written informative and engaging descriptions of the iconic aircraft that represent each of our four Houses: Spitfire, Wellington, Hurricane, and Lancaster. Their hard work has added a unique and inspiring historical dimension to our House system, helping to further engage pupils and build a sense of pride in their House identity.
