Matthew Page
Headteacher
Matthew joined Woodlands in April 2023. Matthew brings over 10 years of teaching experience and a strong background in school leadership. He previously served as Assistant Headteacher in Leicestershire, where his expertise in curriculum design and development played a key role in the school achieving a Good Ofsted rating.
Before his career in education, Matthew successfully ran two companies specialising in coaching and data analytics. He worked as a data analyst in professional football with clubs including Lincoln City, Huddersfield Town, and Portsmouth.
Matthew returned full-time to education, teaching at a special needs school in Grantham before moving to Leicestershire. In 2023, he joined Woodlands Academy as Deputy Headteacher and contributed significantly to the school’s Good Ofsted rating.
Now as Headteacher, Matthew combines his data-driven approach with compassionate leadership to create a calm, supportive environment that meets the unique needs of every student, nurturing both their academic progress and personal growth.
He holds the National Professional Qualifications for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and Headship (NPQH) and is currently completing the NPQ for SENCOs. He is also a Level 5 Careers Leader.

Jodie Turner
Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour & Personal Development
Jodie joined Woodlands in January 2023. With over 10 years of experience in both SEN and mainstream education settings, Jodie has held a wide range of roles within schools before completing her teacher training and joining Woodlands. A consistently outstanding teacher, Jodie has a proven track record in supporting pupils’ holistic development and played a key role in Woodlands achieving its recent Good Ofsted rating.
Jodie is deeply passionate about behaviour and personal development, firmly believing that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and thrive. She is committed to ensuring that Woodlands students feel safe and supported, fostering a calm and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. In her role, Jodie works tirelessly to meet the social, emotional, and mental health needs of all students, while ensuring staff receive the training and resources needed to provide the best possible support.
As a local to the area, Jodie is dedicated to strengthening Woodlands’ role within the Spilsby community and providing enriching experiences for all pupils.
She is currently completing her National Professional Qualification in Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQBC).

Ryan Green
Assistant Headteacher – Quality of Education
Ryan joined Woodlands in November 2023. Ryan brings over 10 years of diverse experience across a variety of educational settings. He began his career in a special needs school before moving to a secondary school in Lincoln. Prior to joining Woodlands, Ryan spent three years working at a primary school in Lincoln. Ryan has delivered and contributed to teaching across all four key stages.
Ryan played a key role in Woodlands acheiving its recent Good grading from Ofsted. With a deep understanding of curriculum intent, implementation, and impact, Ryan is a consistently outstanding classroom practitioner dedicated to enhancing the Quality of Education at Woodlands.
As our Quality of Education Lead, Ryan is passionate about ensuring every child enjoys an engaging, well-rounded education that ignites curiosity and builds confidence. His commitment to continuous improvement is evident in his constant question: “How can we make this better?”—a mindset he brings to every aspect of school life.
Ryan holds the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and is currently completing his National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

Chantelle Prue
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Chantelle joined Woodlands in May 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting the wellbeing of both children and adults. As a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, she is a valued member of the Woodlands leadership team.
Before joining Woodlands, Chantelle worked with Women’s Aid, providing specialist counselling support to victims of domestic abuse. She also worked with Embrace, supporting children who have experienced crime-related trauma. In addition to her counselling expertise, Chantelle has a strong background in Health and Safety through her role as a Health and Safety Co-ordinator. She recently returned to the UK after living in Australia, bringing fresh perspectives and renewed energy to her role.
Chantelle is a passionate, person-centred practitioner with experience in working across a broad range of issues including bereavement, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and abuse. Known for her warm and empathetic approach, Chantelle is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where pupils feel heard and empowered to work through their challenges.
Chantelle is also an active member of the CIT network of Safeguarding Leads and collaborates closely with professionals across the local area to promote the safety and wellbeing of the school community.
