Welcome to Woodlands Academy
On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, and the Community Inclusive Trust (CIT), I would like to welcome you to Woodlands Academy.
As part of a family of schools within CIT, Woodlands can draw on the expertise across the Trust and central team to provide the highest levels of education and care for our pupils.
Woodlands Academy is a specialist secondary academy for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Alongside our ambitious and diverse cirriculum, we have a dedicated interventions and pastoral team to ensure all pupils have access to a bespoke offer.
We are lucky enough to have large grounds which includes a large sports hall and fields, our own woodlands and pond area, and an upcoming farm boasting 6 paddocks with a variety of animals. All key stage three classes also have their own class pets.
It is our intention at Woodlands to provide a personalised curriculum to prepare our pupils to be successful and confident young adults who can make highly effective progress to prepare them for opportunities after their secondary school journey. We have a range of key stage four options including a wide range of vocational and GCSE options.
At Woodlands Academy we aspire to follow our 6 academy core values of Respect, Kindness, Honesty, Teamwork, Trust and Positivity.
Additionally, we promote the fundamental British Values of Democracy, The rule of law, Mutual Respect and Tolerance of those with different Faiths and Beliefs.
I hope you can find and access all of the information you need on our academy website. If not, please feel free to contact the academy with any questions or queries.
Many thanks,
Matthew Page
