Careers & Further Education

At Woodlands Academy we think it’s vitally important that we fully prepare our students for further education, training or employment once they move on from us.
During KS4 we provide clear and relevant guidance for post 16 options. This includes independent careers advice, access to internal and external provision, local colleges and training providers. By working closely together we try to ensure a smooth and clear transition for all our students whatever they choose to do.

We understand that this can be a very daunting time for both students and parents/carers so we try to give as much support and guidance as possible.
Woodlands Academy has strong links with local businesses and we aim to give all students an opportunity to do a work experience placement before they leave. This could be a weekly placement or a block placement over a week to four week period.
